Self-imposed Limitations

Hello Friends,

“The world is your oyster” has been interpreted as an invitation, typically for the younger generations, to go out into the world and explore freely all there is to experience.

The truth is, regardless of age, life is full of endless opportunities for us all. And yet, over time, we create stories that influence our reality of “our place” in the world. We make our own “rules” about what is possible and not possible for us, gradually shrinking our personal freedom.

Our self-imposed limitations come from the “rules” we choose for ourselves, which then manifest as our reality. We create our reasons for why we can’t …

I invite you to reflect upon the limiting justifications and stories you create for yourself to see how they impact your life. What are you allowing to get in your way of finding your pearls?

What if you take a small step each day to open up the doors to greater possibilities? What if, each morning upon waking, you said to yourself, “Today I can have/ choose/ be anything my heart desires without limitations. The world is my oyster and I am free to receive every opportunity that is meant for me.” And you make a decision to start being more aware of what opens up for you. Each day, a little at a time, you’ll notice your self-imposed limitations will begin to fall away.

Stephanie
